- An Eclipse is when an object in space blocks the light from another object. But today we are having a Solar Eclipse.
- What is a Solar Eclipse?
- A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly between the Earth and the sun and a shadow is cast upon the Earth.
- During a Solar Eclipse since the moon is closer to the Earth it appears the same size as the sun. Even though the sun is much bigger.
- We have to make sure we are in the Umbra to see a total Solar Eclipse. If we are in the Penumbra we will only see a partial Eclipse.
- Look the Solar Eclipses is happening!
- Hurry up put your approved glasses on, the sun can be damaging to the eyes.
- Wow this is so cool. You can see the corona!
- I know right?! I have never seen and Eclipse before!
