"No you're not leaving."
"You did what?"
"I'm sorry to tell you this, but I did see Abigail alone."
"Here's something for you."
"What's this?"
Mary Warren leaves the Proctor house and is no longer their servant. She leaves to be a part of the court instead.
"Goody Proctor is accused."
"Not Goody Proctor!"
"You must go and talk to Abigail."
Between both Proctors, Elizabeth finds out that Mr. Proctor was with Abigail alone before. Elizabeth gets upset since there was an affair between Abigail and Mr. Proctor.
"Are you crazy?"
"Why won't you go to church, Mr. Proctor?"
Mary Warren gives a small rag doll or poppet to Goody Proctor that she had sewn in court today. Mary gives it to Goody Proctor as a gift when Mary returns to the Proctor's house.
"I don't like the new reverend."
Mary Warren saves Goody Proctor’s life in court today. Goody Proctor was mentioned in court today but Mary Warren cried saying that Goody Proctor didn’t do it.
Goody Proctor wants Mr. Proctor to see Abigail. Goody Proctor wants Mr. Proctor to break the promise of not seeing Abigail talk to her about wanting to kill Goody Proctor.
Reverend Hale visits Mr. Proctor and Goody Proctor’s house. Reverend Hale asks why Mr. Proctor won’t go to church on the Sabbath Day, why he hardly goes to church as it is, and why the youngest child of Mr. Proctor’s is not baptized.
