Arachne is very upset that the village people and the older lady is questioning her ability to weave. The older lady believes that nobody can beat Athena, and that she is the best goddess there ever was. Arachne gets upset because she taught herself how to weave. She calls the women stupid and she is not used to people questioning her. She has so much pride in her work, and puts all of her hard work. The goddess tells her to live on a spin, and then Arachne turns into a spider and her legs come close to her body.
