  • Hello kids welcome to this historical museum, Today you will learn about Malcolm X!
  • In the 1880s to 1964 people of color were treated very badly and they weren't being treated the same way white people did. They had to be on two different sides and couldn't be in the same place. This was called segregation.
  • JOBS!!WHITE PEOPLE ONLY
  • This meant that people of color had different schools, parks, stores and even bathrooms. White people couldn't be with colored people. Both sides were very upset with each other.Colored people felt hurt by the way white people would look at them and treat them. It was hard for people with color to participate in there religion because of the hate.

Then a few days later he moved to Boston and became a shoe-shiner, gambler and few other things.
  • Malcolm X even went to jail because some of his jobs were illegal.
  • But after being released he went to New York!
  • Malcolm X was a very inspirational person. He wanted people to rise up and fight for their freedom. During this time he studied islam and inspired muslims all over the world.
  • Malcolm X was killed on February 21, 1965, at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem, New York. Three members of the Nation of Islam—the religious group to which he had once belonged—were convicted of his murder.
