- France: You're trying to plan another revolt we are arresting you!

- A new general came and started where L'Ouverture ended
- France was in a war with the Spanish, the British, and the slaves. They decided the slaves were the easiest to let go.
- The revolution has ended. Santo Domingo will now be Haiti, a dependent nation
