- The Initial Founding of AIM
- It's time we end the oppression. Between the police brutalitylity, unfair land laws and having absolutely no control over our own well being, this must end!
- Finally, we are in the old naval building! Now we can truly organize a movement.

- We have brought all of our brothers and sisters to Washington with no place to stay, we have no choice but to stay at this very Indian Affairs building.
- I know. We must at least get our 20-point position paper to someone who can make a change and give us a voice!

- Performing our Ghost Dance is just a part of our religion, it is how we keep the desire to go on in this life of hardship! How can you take this from us as well?!
- Any form of group dancing or powwows will be seen as acts of terrorism and will be handled as such! Now give us all of your weapons!

- represents the reasoning behind forming the group and where it was formed, Minneapolis.
- Whilst the initial goals of the March were not necessarily achieved, they still garnered attention and at least made it clear they must do something big if they are to truly make a difference.
- This was when all cordial relations between the government and Native Americans seemed to have taken a huge hit as lives were lost and peace was unattainable for some time because of it.
- In recent years, Franklin Ave has become a very prosperous representation of the improvements AIM has brought to Native's lives in modern day America.
- Not just in the U.S., but AIM has taken things global by making a splash at U.N.meetings where they work with indigenous people as a whole to be a voice for those around the world who have not been heard for so long.
