- The pope was the top church leader in the kingdom. They divided there land agaist lords who gave them land.
- Knights
- The top leader is the land was the king. The king could not controll all of the land. So he divided it up among the Barons.
- Peasants
- The barons on high ranking nobles ruled large areas of the land called fiefs.
- The lords ran thr local manners. The lords owend everything on there land inclouding the peasests, crops and village.
- a poor farmer of low social status who owns or rents a small piece of land for cultivation (chiefly in historical use or with reference to subsistence farming in poorer countries).
