- The KKK was founded in 1865 in Tennessee. The founding members were confederate soldiers still mad at the results of the civil war.
- There goal when starting the KKK was to restore white supremacy in the south. Nathaniel Bedford Forrest was elected the first leader of the KKK and known as the "Grand Wizard". Through there secret meetings and other stuff they got the nickname of "Invisible Empire of the south"
- The KKK had there rituals at night. One of their rituals was to set a cross on fire as the emblem of that sincere, unselfish devotedness of all Klansmen to the sacred purpose and principles.
- The KKK does not want black people to be in office or even have the right to vote for the president. This shows that they do not care about the Declaration of Independence where they say "all men are created equal" so why should they be protected under the amendments.
- There violence and terror to people is another reason why they should not be protected under the first admendment.
