- Ashoka was the third emperor of the Mauryan dynasty, grandson of its founder Chandragupta and son of the second emperor, Bindusara. He ruled from 268 to 232 BCE

- Ashoka than became a Buddhist. He did not want to take over any more places. He wanted him and his kingdom to be peaceful.
- This is way more peaceful.
- From now on, everyone shall be equal and everyone will have the same rights.
- After Ashoka became a Buddhist he accepted anyone at any class. He treated everyone the same. He believed everyone should be equal.
- Yayyy!
- Ashoka built new irrigation systems, new big roads, trade routes, and he also helped set up hospitals.
- I want this to be the best kingdom ever.
