- At the beginning it presents the main character and explains that he loves the old man, but just not his eye he explains it is a evil eye
- Climax
- The narrator lives with the old man in the same building and he doesn't have a problem wit the old man, but he does have a problem with the old man's eye.
- Fallung Action
- For 8 days the narrator would go to the old man's bedroom at midnight and would check if he was awake so he could kill him and not ever see the old man's eye anymore
- Resolution
- On the 8th night he finally decided to kill the man. So he took the man off of the bed and smoothed the until finally the man was dead and couldn't hear the old man's heart anymore.
- The neighbor heard the scream the old man did and called the polic. The narrator quickly chomped the old man up and hid him under the floor boards.
- The police look all over the place and didn't find the body. The the character takes them to the room where he killed the old man and put the dead body at. He placed chairs in the room, but put his on top oh where the body was until he heard the heart beating of the old man and a gave himself and said that it was his fault
