- Hello! today I am going to explain to you what Fossil record (transitional forms), and Molecular biology are, and how they are known as evidence for evolution.
- The Fossil Record:The earliest rocks contain the fossils of the simplest species, whereas the most recent rocks include the fossils of more complex organisms. This is consistent with Darwin's theory of evolution, according to which more complex life forms gradually developed from simpler ones. Fossils provide proof of early life forms.
- Similarities between biological molecules can reveal shared evolutionary ancestry, just like structural homologies. All living things have the following fundamental traits:- Identical genetic makeup (DNA)- The same genetic codes or very comparable genetic codes- The identical fundamental method of gene expression (transcription and translation)These similarities imply that all living creatures share a common ancestor who employed the genetic code, had DNA as its genetic material, and expressed its genes through transcription and translation.
