- Lyddie and her family were getting attacked by the black bear while in their family cabin and Lyddie has to use her surroundings to survive and use her bravery while getting the bear. Page 2
- Ameila is arguing about how unladylike it is to read while Besty disagrees and thinks it's nonsense and it's just a book while arguing in their dorms. Page 89-90
- Ezekiel was In Lyddie's Cabin, and he is a runaway slave, and he has a high bounty he came from Brother stevens (Luke stevens) Ezekiel thinks people have considered him a slave and how he was running away from slavery to freedom and how it's basically every slave owner vs Ezekiel. Page 41
