- Benjamin Franklin was the commtity leader of the albany plan of uinion, the union was formed becuase the Iroquois did not want to in in an alience with the British, this was voiced at the Albany confrence. later on the confrence fianlly came up wIth the Albany plan of union.

So he created a political cartoon and called it Join or Die. Unfortanltly thee plan was rejected beciase the colonies did not want to give up the right to a central government
