- Hey what is going on? I can't find any animals for food these days and where are all the trees ?My cubs are hungry.
- Yes Tiger. Something terrible is going on .I cannot find any berries or honey because the trees are gone. Also, there is less fish in our stream.
- I don't know how I will survive. I haven't eaten for days. I cannot suffer any longer. I cannot go on the other side of the forest as I saw hunters there yesterday. You know some of our body parts are useful to these cruel humans.
- But you bears eat both plants and animals. I don't understand why you cannot survive. If you cannot find berries you can eat insects right? But we can eat only animals. Now the animals are gone. There is nothing else for me to survive on.
- It is not fair that I suffer. I play an important role in the environment. When I eat fruits and nuts, I throw the seeds on the forest floor. These seeds can grow into trees. I also help to keep the forest clean as I feed on dead animals killed by you and others. I also eat deer and moose and keep them less in number so that they do not go out of balance.
