- In a liquid, the particles are quite close together and move with random motion throughout the container. In gases the particles move rapidly in all directions meanwhile colliding with each other.

- In gases with an increase in temperature the particles gain kinetic energy and move faster. In liquids with an increase in temperature the particles move faster as they gain kinetic energy which causes an increase rate of diffusion.

- Yes correct!! This raps up the Kinetic Molecular Theory.. hold up were not quite done.. We forgot one thing! The reason why the soccer ball is inflated after being left out in cold temperature is because the gas molecules inside the soccer ball expand during the increase in temperature. What happens to the molecules during the cold? The molecules slow down because they have less energy, therefore that inflates the soccer ball.
- Oh so as the gas molecules expand, their energy increases and they move around faster inside the soccer ball.
