- Alonso, King of Naples, Sebastian, Ferdinand, Antonio, Gonzalo, and others on a ship in stormy weather. They are trying to figure out, with the help of Boatswain what to do since they are in a storm.
- ´´Heigh, my hearts! Cheerly, cheerly, my hearts! Yare,yare! Take in the topsail! Tend to th’ master’s whistle!4Blow tillthou burst thy wind, if room enough!´´ (Act 1 Scene 1).
- Prospero and Miranda watch the shipwreck that happened because of the storm. Miranda is scared, thinking the storm was caused by her father's magic. But, Prospero ensures her nothing is wrong.
- ´If by your art, my dearest father, you havePut the wild waters in this roar, allay them´´ (Act 1 Scene 2).
- ´´No harm.I have done nothing but in care of thee...´´ (Act 1 Scene 2).
- Off the boat, Miranda and Ferdinand fall in love right away. But, Prospero hates the idea and wants to lock him up. Miranda is upset with her father.
- ´´Speak not you for him. He’s a traitor´´ (Act 1 Scene 2).
- ´´There’s nothing ill can dwell in such a temple´´ (Act 1 Scene 2).

- Alonso is upset because both his children are gone. Francisco tries to give him hope and insists they are not gone but, Alonso does not believe him.

- Miranda talks to Ferdinand (he is Prospoero´s servant) and asks him to marry her.
- ´´My husband, then´´ (Act 3 Scene 1).
- ´´Ay, with a heart as willingAs bondage e'er of freedom. Here’s my hand´´ (Act 3 Scene 1).
- ´´“Servant monster”? What a crazy island this is. They say there are only five people on it. We’re three of them. If the other two are as loopy as we are, our country’s in bad shape´´ (Act 3 Scene 2).
- While Caliban is drunk, he plots with Trinculo and Stephano to kill Prospero so that Stephano will become king.
- ´´When the butt is out, we will drink water. Not a drop before. Therefore bear up and board 'em.—Servant- monster, drink to me´´ (Act 3 Scene 2).
