- Johnny and Ponyboy went to a parking lot to talk and stargaze. After a while, they fell asleep.
- Johnny saved Ponyboy by attacking Bob, and he killed him in the process. He wanted to save Ponyboy and saw no other options.
- Ponyboy woke up in the parking lot at 2:00 AM and rushed home. Darry got mad because he was home late, lost his cool and slapped him.
- After Darry hits Ponyboy, he got mad and scared. He met Johnny outside and they ran away.
- Bob tries to drown Ponyboy in the fountain after the socs find him and Johnny at the park. They were looking for them after they were with their girlfriends.
- Ponyboy and Johnny got advice from Dally and decided to escape to the country afterwards. They didn't want to get caught, so they ran away.
