- The baby looks so different whats going on?
- They look at the baby and compares it to one of the younger slaves and Desiree screams because her baby is black.

- Desiree and Armand got in a big argument because they found out the baby wasn't white. Armand told her to leave so she took the baby and walked off the plantation.

- Desiree walked off the plantation with her child and did not return. She walked into the swamp water and no longer wanted to live after what she had been through. Desiree was no longer seen .

- Armand finds out his mom was black and that he is part black now he has to keep this secret forever or lose his whole world.
- Armand was at the fire he made out of all of Desireebelongings. He found an old letter from his mother to his father.He read it and after he finished it he was in shock because he just found out he was part black.Now he has to keep it a secret forever.
