- My family and I were just waking up to start our day in the field. I had made porridge and was going to go to the lake to get our water supply for the day while the rest of the family started their work.
- On my way to fetch the water, I passed my lord and a knight making sure we were all doing our work. He asked me where I was going and made sure my family was going to work today.
- My family and I worked from dawn to dusk making our living. Our lords and knights were coming through periodically, but we would never talk to them so we don't know why.
- My husband, Tybalt, had to go into town after our long day of work to pay our taxes. We have to pay a big portion of the little amount we have for taxes, but there is no way around it.
- By the time Tybalt had gotten home from paying taxes, I was already almost done making supper and getting the children ready for bed. Also, I had brought our donkey (our most valuable thing) inside so it did not get stolen or run away.
- After a long day of work, we get to rest for a short time. However, we will have to be up before dusk tomorrow so that we can start our day and get out to the fields on time.
