- Maximilien Robespierre is elected representative of the third estate and begins his work to overthrow the monarchy using terror.
- September 5, 1793
- Robespierre officially begins his revolution against the monarchy, raising an army of his own.
- 1793-1794
- Due to Robespierre's revolution, King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are overthrown and executed on the guillotine. The Reign of Terror begins.
- July 28, 1794
- Robespierre establishes an autocracy, making himself the sole ruler. His soldiers began to resent his hypocritical ways.
- Robespierre begins executing just about anyone who disagreed with him. In total, he kills over 17,000 without trial or jury, this angers many third estate citizens.
- Maximilien Robespierre is arrested and executed for his tyrannical ways. The Reign of Terror ends.
