Soon after Rangi who was at the top of the shell became the sky. Papa who was at the bottom became the earth. They were very in love and soon gave birth to 70 gods, which help produce the world as it is now.

He came out with two horns, two husks, and a very hairy body, Later after that, he separated seas, placed the mountains, and gave Earth its main form to the way they're now. He was able to do this by using yingyang that is a powerful piece of knowledge.
- Cherokee CreationFor the Cherokee, the Earth was an island floating in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. To stay above water there were it hung from four cords then the sky and ground became to form. But unforatinly, there was so much darkness it was hard for animals to see. So, the sun showed up to help them find their way around. During the seven consecutive days and nights, the animals were informed by God to stay awake. For those who obeyed his rules, he gave the ability to see in the dark.
