The Winter Valley Forge served as a place for both George Washington and his soldiers. The army encouraged a supply crisis. The Valley Forge was easily defensible, but still close to the city. Valley Forge was a place of soldiers who were starving and unkempt.

George Washington's Quarters
George Washington's Headquarters was located at 16 Wahingto's Streat. His Quarters were made out of logs and Riverside Park is 2 blocks away from his Quarters. Washington made the cabin in 1755 to 1758 for the french and Indian war. But he soon returned to his Quarters as the Commander in Chief.

Soldiers Quarters
The Winter Valley Forge was served for George Wahington's soldiers. George Washington moved his army to the Valley Forge for his winter encamped. George chose this spot for its high grounds and for how close it is to a river.

Problems Faced by the Soldiers #1
Once George Washington's army was settled the soldiers went through a supply crisis. Not having enough food or clothes for the shoulders. They were dirty and weren't fed properly.

The soldiers were left half-naked, starving battling the elements. A lot of souers homes were unkept, dirty and small. So they had to grow these houses bigger/better. Adding two windows to each house in the Valley Forger.

Training with Baron Fredrick von Steuben
Baron was a former member of the Prussian General Staff, and letter on was excepted by George to train his soldiers. Baron taught these soldiers the nasties of giving, Cooking, discipline, and respect. Washington was so impressed by his work that Congress appointed an inspector general for the army.
