  • When I read this book again, I did not want it to end there. It was so compelling that I looked up the movie and watched it. The movie was as good as the book. The only difference between the book and the movie was the emotions it made me feel. The emotions I felt when watching the movie were stronger than when I read the book. The movie made me cry. It was unbelievable to see everything on the screen. Every scene reminded me of a part of the book. It happened just like I imagined it when I read the book. If I had more time, I would reread this book repeatedly.
  • My reasons on, why you should read the kite runner:The first reason is because it shows you the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness is important because without it, it is hard to move on in any sort of relationship. Compared to the rest of the characters in the novel, Amir must go through the most pain and suffering, which makes him spend most of his life trying to find forgiveness.
  • Secondly it opens us to new horizons seeing different customs, religion, and traditions. This book does a wonderful job at displaying how everyday life can be like in Afghanistan: with the kite tournament being an incredibly long-standing tradition looked forward to, the double standards of men and women which were apparent when Soraya ran off with a man, and the ways the families set up arrange marriages. Even The gradian released an article talking about how well this book shows the raw and harsh realities of what life in Afghanistan is like.
