- Hello i am from Mesopotamia in the modern day of Iraq. Mesopotamia Is in between The two rivers know as the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers
- Before we all moved here to sumer most of us lived in the foothills of Zagros. We left because of the lack of space because of overpopulation. So we moved to sumer.
- We used to have a proplem controlling the water some days we had to much others we had to little so we made leeves to help with it. Over time we made other ways too help with it too. we dug cannals the went through the city and we constructed dams to help block off too much water.
- But we also had to keep the irrigation canals clean from silt. so they clean the cannals regulary. Because of this farmers no longer had to live in small groups they became know as city-states
- As the city grew the main thing people fought over was the right to use more water. some of the upriver city-states would block off the river so the downstream could not use as much.
- As you can see we have advanced a lot more since the begining we have invented irrigation systems and soloved a bunch of problems And invent a lot of things on the way. like the wheel we even made are own languge which looks like this
