- People in South Africa were separated by race in four different groups.It is a White Ruled government Since When English and dutch settlers came to Africa.A Tribe called the boers TrIed to stop the settlers from taking the Riches of Diamonds and Gold in South Africa.A War stirred up between the Three and the Settlers ended up winning and setted a government in place to control the people.
- The way people were separated between each is something called apartheid. Which put restrictions On Non-White Africans.Like 75% of the people were non-white africans in South Africa .However,They only get 13% of the land to live in .Also Non-White Africans Couldn't Work in some places,School Education was 1/3 of White african Schools and Only White Africans got high paying jobs.
- Then A Group called the ANC was starting to assemble Marches and Protest Against Apartheid .One of the Famous Protests Was a Sharpeville in 1960 Were People were Peacefully Protesting and shot behind in the back by Police Who killed 69 People were killed.The South Africa Government put a ban on ANC and Jailed one of it Political Leader Nelson Mandela For Treason and was to be put in Prison for 20 years.
- People Were outraged by the situation and demanded the release of Nelson Mandela Immediately.So People Rioted and many countries did not support Nelson Mandela's imprisonment so they Boycotted many South African Goods Hurting the South African Government Crucially .
- Then a Person Named F.W.D Klerk was elected President and Removed Many Apartheid laws.He also Lifted the ban of the ANC and many of organizations.He Also Demanded the Release of Nelson Mandela and was released from prison in 1990.Then In 1993 The All Races election was set and Nelson Mandela won the elected be the first person to be president in the brand new south African government .
