Frair Lawrence is suprised about Romeo's love interest changing so drastically but agrees to help him with his marriage as it could bring peace between the Capulet's and Montague's
- In one respect I'll thy assistant be, For this alliance may be so happy prove to turn your households' rancor to pure love.

- Mercutio and Benvolio wonder what happend to Romeo and talk about the letter sent by Tybalt challenging Romeo to a duel. Romeo arrives and the two start teasing him with Romeo playing along.

- The nurse enters with Peter and Mercutio starts teasing them which angers the Nurse.
