- One day, Steve was finally free! I didn't know about it until he came to my house and knoked on the door. Steve told me about the 13th amendment. CONGRESS PASSED A BILL THAT FREED ALL SLAVES IN THE USA!!!
- I thought this was a dream, but when I pinched myself it really hurt ''OUCH'' I was not dreaming. Is Steve finally free?

- In 1868, steve had even better news! The 14th amidment was ratified

- In 1870 me and Steve heard big people talking about the news. The 15th amidment gave all men including black men the right to vote.
- What news?
- They allowed us men to vote
- Wow!! Im happy for you and men but I wish Us Wimen can vote too
