- Jeff was a simple man who enjoyed traveling the world and never living anywhere too long. One day he was discussing the four types of economies, command, market, traditional, and mixed. He wanted to know for himself which was the best so he devised a plan. He would live in each economy type for a year to see which one best suited him.
- His first economy type was mixed for this he stayed in the U.S. He noticed that it was very similar to what he heard about market economies but had some aspects that didn't quite belong. Most all of the businesses were privately owned but the government interfered in certain fields ,like the banking industry, if they thought it necessary to the economic success of the country.
- Next he traveled to Japan to test out a market economy. He found this economy to be centered on complete freedom for the people. All businesses were privately owned with no interference by the government.He found this to be risky and supply and demand of some products fluctuated more in this economy.
