  • This right gives you the option to practice any religion of your choice, or not practice at all. It gives you the freedom to express any religion through prayer or through wardrobe choices, in public and at home. With this right it gives you the freedom to listen to views of others and express your own opinion freely. this does not protect against hate speech or threats of violence.
  • Legal Rights
  • This gives every Canadian citizen the right to vote or run in the Canadian election themselves. With limits such as you must be 18 years of age. Because there isn't unlimited power within the government and one person cant be in power forever the charter requires the government to call an election every 2-5 years. Elective representatives must sit together at least once a year to hold parliament and other legislators responsible for there actions.

  • This gives everyone this right to enter, stay in, and leave Canada as the please. They can also find work anywhere within Canada. Every citizen who has the status of parliament has the right to move and take up resident in any province. but with this laws are what set certain rules for people while there here such as social, health, and welfare benefits.

  • Within this right it protects everyone right to privacy and security. during the juridical process it ensures everyone is treated fairly throughout every process, especially during criminal processes. it also protects you against being arrested without reason. the statement "everyone is Innocent until proven guilty" ensures everyone gets to have a trial to state why there innocent. it also gives everyone the opportunity to discuss import family matters in a safe and equal environment.

  • this ensures everyone no matter sex, race, religion, etc is treated with the same respect and consideration. although the government is an exception so that they can adapt to rules to take into account of peoples differences. they can create laws or pass programs to help people over look there differences such as people with disabilities.
  • this right gives everyone in each province (with an exception to Quebec) the right to learn in either English or french. although if they were to send there child to a French class they must have french as a mother tongue or have gone to previous french learing programs.
