- Today we will be talking about the business cycle of an average landscaping company.
- First we will be talking about the expansion of sales of service of our company.
- Our expansion occurs in all the spring months and early summer like May & June. This is because the grass grows the fastest at this time. There is also an expansion in October and November caused by the increasing amount of foliage on the ground.
- The peak of a landscaping company vary, but many peak a week after there is rain or when people really want a nice yard like the 4th of July.
- Note: The peak is the highest amount of profit in an expansion.
- The main contraction of most landscaping companies happen when the winter season comes. Grass grows slow and it's cold. If a landscaping company doesn't have a winter job like shoveling snow they will usually fall into a recession. Depression would more rely on if the company losses clients and not so much a period of time
- The company will most likely hit a trough mid winter when it is the coldest and little amounts of work are available.
