- "Well, wish for two hundred pounds, then that'll just do it."

- "I don't know what to wish for, and that's a fact, It seems to me I've got all I want."
- Mr. White and Herbert are Playing chess and waiting for a visitor, Morris, while Mrs. White is over by the fire.
- Climax
- "How much?"
- "Herbert was caught in the machinery, but in consideration of your sons services they wish to present you with a certain sum as compensation."
- Morris tries to destroy the monkey's paw but Mr. White scoops it up and wants to use it for himself. Morris warns him that bad things will happen if he uses it and warns him not to use it.
- Falling Action
- "I wish our boy alive again
- "I only just thought of it, wish our boy alive again."
- Mr. White doesn't listen to Morris about the paw but he realizes he has everything he wants. Then Herbert says he should just wish for 200 pounds, so Mr. White wishes for 200 pounds.
- Resolution

- "That's our boy"
- A person turns up at the door and it is a person from Herbert's work. He tells them that Herbert got caught in machinery and died and he gave them 200 pounds for them not to sue the company.
- "200 Pounds"
- Mrs. White has an Idea to use a wish to bring Back Herbert from the Dead. Mr. White is skeptical but he ends up wishing his son alive again.
- They hear a knock at the door and Mrs. White gets super exited and thinks Herbert is back. Mr. White realizes how horrible the Paw can be and that he shouldn't have wished because something bad is going to happen. So he reverses his wish and the banging on the door stops and there is nobody outside.
