- Respiration is a chemical reaction that happens in all living cells. Cellular respiration is the process where cells make ATP (cell energy).
- It is the way that energy is released from glucose so chemical processes needed for life can happen such as growth, repair movement and control of body temperature.
- Respiration is also imporotant since we cant do daily tasks like walking, running, and sitting without it.

- Unfortunately Anaerobic respiration produces much less energy than aerobic respiration. The waste product, lactic acid, builds up in the muscles causing pain and tiredness.
