The rule of EEIC ended after the Revolt and Queen Victoria took over Indian Administration.The Britishers came up with a technique to take over more kingdoms which was called Doctrine of Lapse. It meant that whenever a king does not have a son or daughter the Britishers would take over the kingdom.
