- Mr. Jones is the owner of Manor Farm. He is always drunk and does not treat the animals very well.
- MANOR FARM
- Mr. Jones had lock up the hen houses but was too drunk to remember to close the potholes. So he had one last glass of beer from the scullery and went to bed.
- Old Major, the boar (pig), had a dream that he wanted to tell the other animals about.
- All the animals gathered in the barn for a meeting once Mr. Jones went to sleep.
- "Come on, Comrades! We need to have a meeting."
- "We need to rebel against humans (Man). Humans are the reason we suffer. We are treated like slaves!"
- "Comrades i shall not be here for many long months. I need to tell you something very important."
- "In my dream, I remember a song my mother taught me. It is called Beasts of England. Let's all sing it together!"
- "Man is our enemy! We need to prepare for a war to get rid of Man!"
- "Beasts of England... beasts of England!"
- The animals sang Old Major's song over and over, until Mr. Jones woke up and shot his gun into the sky thought he heard a fox. Frightened by the shot the animals scatter and went to bed
