- Parables are a way that I can tell you stories about the Kingdom of God.
- One man was a religious leaders. They tried hard to make God love them. The tried to follow all the rules.
- The other man was a tax collector. Many tax collectors were unfair and dishonest. People didn't like them.

- Jesus continued the story.At the temple, the religious leader stood alone and prayed. But the tax collector stood far away. He looked at the ground because he was sorry for the things he had done.
- God, I thank you that I'm not like other people, like this Tax Collector. I fast and give one-tenth of what I have.
- Have mercy on me, God! I am a sinner!
- I tell you that the tax collector, went home closer to God. God was happy with the tax collector and he forgave him.
- If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. If you are humble, God will honor you.
